SUMMARY:
Responsible for management of sales
functions related to existing accounts and new customer opportunities –
supporting Field Sales Representatives, the Executive Management team and
internal Staff (Engineering, Service, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations,
Purchasing) on new and existing OEM programs starting from the pre-sales funnel
stage to the closure of production business. Mid-level travel is expected,
with a focus on the Cleveland area.
Responsible for all aspects of sales development
related to selling Granite's Computing Solutions to OEM customers within the
defined region. Knowledge of embedded computing / technology required.
Granite Microsystems is an Applied Computing Solutions Provider offering turnkey
computing systems and sub-systems exclusively to OEMs, and our mission is to
operate as a virtual division of an OEM and provide perfect fit computing
solutions that meet their specific engineering and manufacturing needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Support activities with Quarterly Business
Review meetings.
-
Actively engage existing customer's
engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality and service activities.
-
Within existing
accounts or with new target OEMs.
-
Manage
progression of new customer opportunities into the sales funnel.
-
Excellent
telephone skill required.
-
Work with the
Regional Sales Manager and the Executive Management team to enter qualified
opportunities into the sales funnel.
-
Coordinating
with Engineering to develop proposals and quotations for new production
opportunities – Utilizing pre-defined pricing models, document templates and
business marketing materials.
-
Travel to
customer sites for Quarterly Business Reviews.
-
Manage and
coordinate with other Granite activities when necessary to close funnel
opportunities
-
Work closely with Program Management
to develop existing customers and uncover new opportunities.
-
Provides technical and/or
professional coordination and leadership in the Sales Funnel process and
program/project activities
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in establishing and
implementing short- and long-range goals and objectives for defined territory.
-
Assist with the development and
implementation of departmental policies and procedures consistent with those
of the organization to ensure efficient operation of the program/project.
-
Develops systems and maintains
records that provide for the proper evaluation, control and documentation of
assigned activities; prepares a variety of written correspondence, reports,
procedures, directives and other materials.
-
Manage individual monthly & quarterly
travel budgets – for business travel and customer support.
-
Update Sales Contacts database
-
Maintain Sales Funnel Design Win
status spreadsheet.
-
Working with the Sales
Development Manager to set quarterly and annual sales
goals.

Performs miscellaneous job-related
duties as assigned
MINIMUM JOB
REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent to graduation
from a four-year college or university with major coursework related to the area
of assignment and five years of experience within or related to the sales
function; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient
to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.

and away from the City; strength to lift and carry materials weighing up to 30
pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and
speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. Work is normally
performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

This is a factory based
position based in Mequon, WI which involves working directly with assigned
Regional Sales manager assuming the responsibility for management of sales
functions related to existing accounts and new customer opportunities –

internal Staff (Engineering, Service, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations,
Purchasing) on new and existing OEM programs starting from the pre-sales funnel
stage to the closure of production business. Travel is expected to be around 25%
of time or less.
